What's the difference between an edgebander and a panel saw?
A panel saw cuts full sheets of material (MDF, plywood, melamine) down into smaller parts, while an edgebander applies a finishing edge tape or band to the exposed edges of those cut parts. Most production shops use them together: the panel saw breaks down the sheet, and the edgebander finishes the raw edges. Which Giben edgebander is right for my shop?
It depends on your throughput, floor space, and budget. The KG-305M is a compact manual machine ideal for small shops and custom work. The KG-365 is a great entry-level automatic machine. What's the difference between the Prisma SPT and the Matic SP panel saw?
The Prisma SPT is a rear-load industrial beam saw with a 30 HP main motor, 470mm saw blade, servo-driven pusher with 8 grippers, G-Vision XP controller, and feed speeds up to 170 m/min. It's designed for high-volume, optimized cutting plans and maximum yield. The Matic SP is a front-load automatic panel saw with a 20 HP motor, 380mm saw blade, servo-driven pusher with 9 grippers, the same G-Vision XP controller, and feed speeds up to 100 m/min. It's available in 10′ (3300mm) and 12′ (3800mm) cut lengths. Rear-load is typically best for highest throughput; front-load is best for operator-friendly loading and floor-space flexibility.
